About Us

At Conviction Canine, we believe in the power of strong relationships built between pets and their owners, and the foundation we lay on faith. We provide expert dog training, focused on creating confident companions and joyful homes, all while supporting pet owners on their journey.

Meet Eric Pusey, owner and trainer. A dedicated professional with a proven track record. Since 2012, Eric has served as a law enforcement K9 handler, demonstrating a deep understanding of canine behavior and effective training methods. His recognized expertise led to becoming a full-time K9 Unit trainer in 2019, and he was promoted to Head Trainer in 2021, a role he actively holds. Eric's skills are highly sought after, as he's been requested to complete the initial training and certifications for multiple allied police agency K-9's, in addition to being personally requested to conduct K-9 certifications for the FBI Forensic Canine Unit. This extensive work with various agencies showcases the high level of trust and skill he brings to every dog he works with.

Eric's dedication to his craft extends to continuous learning, exemplified by his completion of NePoPo® Silver School (2024) and NePoPo® Gold School (2025). This commitment ensures he employs modern, balanced training methods, prioritizing clear communication and effective solutions for all your dog's needs.

Training Programs

"Foundational" 3 Week Board and Train Program

$1,995

This 3 week program is focused on essential commands and a proper communication system. In this course your dog will learn the following on leash commands;
- sit
- down
- heel
- place
- loose leash walk
You will be provided with a slip lead, and elevated dog bed (place). The owner take home session will be completed with you on the day your dog goes home. This training will help ensure you have a proper understanding of your dogs new communication system and how to apply it.

"Exclusive" 4 Week Board and Train Program

$2,995

This 4 week program includes everything that the "Foundational" program offers, to include off leash capabilities on all commands with your dog;
- Sit
- Down
- Heel

- Recall
- Place
- Loose leash walk

- E-Collar conditioning
You'll be provided a slip lead, and elevated dog bed (place), and E-Collar. The owner's take home session will be completed on the day your dog goes home. This training will help ensure you have a proper understanding of your dogs new communication system and how to apply it.

"Premier" 6 Week Board and Train Program

$3,495

This 6 week program includes everything the "Exclusive" program offers, and much more. Your dogs training will progress into heavily distracted environments further perfecting their socialization and behaviors. Your dog will learn the following commands

- Sit

- Down

- Heel

- Recall (With Distraction)

- Place

- Loose Leash Walk

- E-Collar conditioning

You'll be provided a slip lead, elevated dog bed, and E-Collar. An owner take home session will be completed on the day your dog goes home.

"Puppy Foundational" 3 Week Board and Train Program

$1,995

This program is for puppies 9-20 weeks. Your puppy will live with the trainer in their home providing a realistic living environment. Your puppy will learn the following behaviors;

- Sit

- Down

- Crate

- Here

- Loose Leash Walk

- Place

We will customize the training for your puppy focusing on your dogs weaknesses and needs.

1-on-1 Sessions

$1,000

This program requires a minimum of 5 sessions with our trainer. An evaluation will need to be completed prior to starting any training. The location of the training will be dictated by the dogs needs and weaknesses discovered in the evaluation. Each training session will be one hour.
